Gatwick closes after emergency landing
Gatwick Airport was temporarily shut at midday on Friday after a Flybe flight had to make an emergency landing.
All 46 passengers were safely evacuated from flight BE 1432, which was travelling from Paris to Cardiff.
Flybe said it was diverted to Gatwick following a suspected technical fault.
There were no injuries.
Immediately following the incident, 11 flights were diverted, but the Gatwick runway was re-opened 30 minutes later.
A spokesman for Flybe said the aircraft was moved from the runway and passengers were transferred to Cardiff by alternative means of transport.
