Gekko.com appoints commercial director
Online hotel booking business, Gekko.com, has appointed Alex Cheeseman as commercial director.
He was previously business development manager for the BBC’s Lonely Planet, where he worked on partnership initiatives across print, digital and mobile.
At Gekko, Cheeseman will have a particular focus on Gekko’s recently launched service, Gekko Links (www.gekko.com/gekkolinks/signup).
Gekko CEO Michel Cassius said: “With the recent launch of Gekko Links, Alex is joining us at the right time to develop our business to business proposition and to maximise the revenues opportunities with partners in the travel and media space.”
Gekko has over 140,000 hotels in its portfolio and compares prices from hotels booking engines including Expedia, Booking,com, and Late Rooms.
