LBHRC has released its ‘engaging’ Bali Weddings International photo/flower deal

The ‘Where the Bali hell are you?’ campaign received a major support boost from Bali today with the news that Bali Weddings International (BWI), one of the destination’s most respected tourism operators, has joined forces with The Little Bali Hotel & Resort Company (LBHRC).

The long-established wedding event specialist has announced its entry into the campaign with an immediate special offer – one free roll of photographic stills or free orchid and frangipani bouquets – on various wedding packages and commitment ceremonies booked before 31 March 2007.

All clients booking a Legal or Balinese Blessing ceremony will receive one free roll of still photography (film and negatives) with all 36 shots taken by a professional photographer and printed in 4R size.

All clients booking a Religious or Commitment ceremony will receive a complimentary fresh orchid and frangipani flower bouquet and buttonhole.

Australian-owned and employing several Western wedding consultants, BWI has, since its inception in 1992, become Bali’s biggest wedding event organiser and has played a major role in helping to build the destination’s romantic travel market.

The company also owns and operates a purpose-built ‘Bali Bridal Boutique’ in Sanur complete with reception, lounge and change rooms.

BWI owner Katrina Simorangkir (formerly Katrina Meyer of Garuda Orient Holidays) said she was confident the increased profile the ‘Where the Bali hell are you?’ campaign would have an extremely positive effect in helping to reverse Bali’s current tourism downturn.

The company’s business activity today, she said, was a far cry from four years ago when BWI was handling in excess of 400 wedding events annually for a predominantly Australian clientele.

Welcoming BWI into the LBHRC’s ranks, co-founder Brett Morgan LBHRC said the move presented the fledgling company with a good, early opportunity to begin diversifying its core product in order to embrace other elements of Bali’s tourism industry.

“That has always been part of the overall strategy and now we’ve opened the door to a wider section of Bali’s tourism community, we hope to attract a few more of the larger players,” he said.

“We kicked off the ‘Where the Bali hell are you?’ campaign with our focus squarely on helping the smaller operators get back on track.

“But we are obviously delighted to have the backing of someone like Katrina Simorangkir and BWI. Katrina is extremely well respected both in Australia and on the Bali scene and having her on board is a huge vote of confidence in what we are trying to achieve.”
