GetThere launches consulting service
Sabre-owned GetThere has introduced a new consulting service in Europe.
It will be aimed at mid-size to multi-national business travel programmes and travel management companies.
The new division will be overseen by Duane Futch, former global travel manager and now vice president of travel procurement strategy.
Futch was formerly director of the Wal-Mart Global Travel Services Division, which included the oversight of the ASDA Travel Department in the UK along with Wal-Mart travel departments in 13 countries.
He will work alongside the European team led by Jason Geall, director of GetThere, Europe, Middle East and Africa.
“Today’s economic environment has many corporations in Europe taking a deep look at their travel programmes in the quest for great value, policy compliance and consistent performance,†said Futch.
“Our consulting programmes are focused on working in a collaborative fashion with our GetThere and TMC customers by driving actionable solutions with measurable results.â€
