Gibraltar removes Covid testing
Testing will no longer be required for those entering Gibraltar via air or sea.
From 18 March travellers landing at Gibraltar International Airport are no longer required to submit a Passenger Locator Form from the same date.
From 25 March, unvaccinated close contacts of Covid-19 positive cases will no longer be required to self-isolate.
However, Covid-19 positive cases will have to continue to self-isolate in line with the established day 6 and day 7 testing regime.
This will be continually reviewed as the situation continues to change.
Earlier this month, the general requirements to wear masks were removed, and are now only required in medical and health service settings.
Minister for Business, Tourism and the Port, Vijay Daryanani MP, said: “We are pleased to make it even easier for UK travellers to explore Gibraltar and the elimination of airport testing and the Passenger Locator Form ensures visitors can travel seamlessly.”
“We saw strong visitor numbers throughout 2021, and we believe these new measures will boost these numbers further during 2022.”
