Global survey rates the World’s favourite city

New York has been voted the World’s favourite city with London a close second in a global survey by Ipsos MORI, covering 18,000 people in 24 countries.

The study found overall global winners were New York followed by London, Paris, Abu Dhabi and Sydney.

While in the individual categories, New York was the best place to do business, Zurich was the best place to live and Paris was the best place to visit.

London came first in Europe’s top city category and second  in the World’s favourite city category.

Ben Page, chief executive of Ipsos MORI, said: "The citizens of the world have spoken and given a massive vote of confidence in London and the UK. Among young people around the world we tie with New York as THE most popular place to live on the planet."
