Go There Travel unveils AI travel assistant search widget
Ian Champness, the founder of startup Go There Travel has announced the development of a customised AI Travel Assistant ‘search widget.’
Travel agents can integrate it into their own website.
Champness said: “The effect of Generative AI in the holiday search, planning and pre-booking process is unstoppable.”
We have developed the AI Travel Assistant ‘as a SaaS solution specifically for the UK travel agent sector.”
Champness continued: “AI is already bringing benefits in Admin and operational functions for the big travel players, but some in the travel agent sector might see AI as a potential threat: “
Consumers can ask an AI chat bot to come up with suggested cities, resorts or complex touring itineraries for just about anywhere in the world, and get credible, readable suggestions in seconds, he says.
Champness suggest the best option ‘is to combine the power of an AI search with the experience, product and destination knowledge of a travel agent.”
“Connect the two – and that’s a great win/win solution.”
The AI search widget integrates with Open AI’s Chat.
Champness adds: “These new enquires will be better qualified. The search widget will pre-qualify enquiries.”
“Integrating the AI Travel Assistant will turn a potential threat into an opportunity. It will allow the user to ask what they want for their next holiday.”
The company will collate and aggregate ChatGPT searches so visitors will also have the option to see other searches.”
Travel agents are offered a free test of the widget in order to share feedback with Go There Travel.
Chris North joins Go There Travel as a non-exec
Ian Champness announced that Chris North, CEO of The Big Golf company, is joining Go There Travel in a non-exec capacity.
“I am delighted that Chris is joining the company as a non-exec. His success in working with the agent sector and his contacts in the trade will be a great asset.”
