* Web hotel agency and gift company HotelStayUK says it has seen its sales revenues rise by 359% between 2008 and 2010, thanks to acquiring new clients, good online sales and investment in search engine optimisation. The Herts-based company is now looking to expand into new markets and says that in 2011 three major UK supermarkets and departments stores will stock its product.
 
 
* The Cruise Specialists is expanding its team, hiring 12 sales staff and two team managers, bring the headcount to 42 at the offices in Larbert, Scotland. Lorraine Young is the new head of sales, having been promoted from within the company.
 
 
* Harlequin resort The Buccamount Bay on the island of St Vincent will open in the new year. The island’s first five star integrated resort will offer a Pat Cash tennis academy, a Liverpool FC soccer school, a performing arts academy, an Alaia spa and a selection of watersports.
 
 
* Thomson holidays rep Kerry Watson is currently on a year’s sabbatical from her job and has set up an orphanage in Kenya. She has worked tirelessly to raise money for the Footprints Orphanage which can provide a home for 25 children but currently she only has funding for nine places. * Business travel agency Key Travel has ridden the recession and come out the other end having purchased US-based TMC World Travel Management. It also weathered the ash cloud crisis well, garnering praise from clients including Oxfam, Wateraid and Save The Children who commended the TMC for its customer service and calm approach during the crisis.
 
 
* South Africa-based Wings Corporate Travel is to expand in Aberdeen. The company, which services the oil and gas market, says this will quadruple its capability in the area and it will be focusing on the Scottish city for further expansion in the future.
 
 
* This August Hoseasons Group’s cottages brands English Country Cottages, cottages4you and Welcome Cottages, saw customer volumes up 2% on 2009.
