GoQuo signs first customer to operator system
Software solutions provider GoQuo claims to have developed technology that overcomes the complexity of many tour operator systems.
The company has secured its first order for GQTours from an unnamed London-based travel agency with three operating brands that focus on niche markets such as Indian Ocean, Far Eastern and African destinations, flights and accommodation.
The agency, which already uses a number of GoQuo’s solutions, is developing its own tour operation, and will use GQTours to help customers choose and package different travel components.
GQTours combines many of the applications and functionalities available from existing solutions such as GQConsol, GQAgent, GQDynamic and GQHotel, according to the company.
Website or call centre-generated queries processed through GQTours result in fast-assembled travel product options and prices in one package, handling the entire transaction through to fulfilment.
Inventory can be sourced from the company’s stable of content providers (hotels, car rental, cruises, insurance and tours), or combined with an operator’s own inventory.
GoQuo founder and managing director Ron Ramanan said operators were ideally placed to benefit from technology that helps them better meet the expectations of today’s travellers.
“GQTours overcomes a lot of the complexity that can be found in tour operator systems,†he said.
“We’ve particularly looked at creating a system for managing the complex inventories that most tour operators need to have today.â€
