Grand Hyatt checking into St Lucia
St Lucia is to get its first Hyatt branded hotel.
The Chicago based hospitality group inked a deal with TTS Resorts LTD to manage the upcoming 345-room Grand Hyatt hotel.
The new build is slated to open in 2023.
Grand Hyatt St. Lucia will feature 50 luxury suites, three restaurants and three bars.
It will also have a destination spa and fitness center, three pools, and meeting space.
"Tourism development is a key driver of economic growth and a priority for the island of St. Lucia, and we are thrilled to collaborate with the team at TTS Resorts LTD.," said Camilo Bolaños, Hyatt’s Vice President of Development and Real Estate.
The resort location in Sunset Bay is 30 minutes from the island’s Hewanorra International Airport and The Pitons World Heritage Site.
The announcement follows a period of planned expansion for Hyatt across the region with recent additions Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Hotel & Residences, Andaz Turks & Caicos, Hyatt Regency Grand Reserve Puerto Rico and Hyatt Place Santo Domingo Piantini in the Dominican Republic.
