Great America theme park launches teen chaperone policy
Due to a number of incidents of unruly behavior, California’s Great America theme park has implemented its new chaperone policy for young guests.
“Over the past two years, there have been increasing incidents of unruly and inappropriate behavior,” the Santa Clara park said.
Guests 15 years and younger must be accompanied by a chaperone at least 21 years old if in the park from 4:00 p.m. until closing.
The responsible adult must present official ID and is able to chaperone up to 10 youth guests.
Youngsters in the park without a chaperone will be kicked out.
“We believe this will help ensure that California’s Great America continues to have a positive atmosphere of safe fun and good food,” it said.
To accompany the new rule, Great America reminded guests of its current policy of no guns allowed, other weapons and no aggressive behavior or offensive language.
“California’s Great America is committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all.”
