Group director appointed at AVANI Hotels

Bangkok based group Minor Hotels has announced the appointment of Alejandro Bernabé as group director for AVANI Hotels & Resorts.
 
Bernabé has 20 years’ global hospitality experience and will be tasked with driving performance in sales, distribution, marketing, PR, brand standards and guest experience.
 
He worked for Kempinski Hotels in a variety of F&B and operational roles over a 16-year period.
 
He previously served as general manager of Siam Kempinski Hotel in Bangkok.
 
 
"I am delighted to join the team and to have the opportunity to take the vibrant AVANI brand to the next level across all areas of the business. AVANI is redefining the lifestyle space in hospitality, Bernabe said.
 
AVANI is Minor’s millennial-focused upscale brand with locations in Thailand, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Seychelles and Africa.
 
There are 156 hotels in operation in the Minor Hotels’ brand portfolio which aside from AVANI includes Anantara, PER AQUUM, Oaks, Elewana and Tivoli.
