GTA officially joins Hotelbeds Group
Tourico Holidays’ parent Hotelbeds Group has announced that GTA has officially joined the fold after concluding regulatory procedures.
A strategic plan is now in process to phase in full integration of GTA and Tourico Holidays into the Hotelbeds Group family.
Tourico joined Hotelbeds Group in June.
GTA’s strong presence in the fast growing Asia-Pacific and Middle East markets is a key asset for Hotelbeds as it looks to boost its global footprint.
"It gives me enormous pleasure to confirm that yet another leading bedbank – following the inclusion of Tourico Holidays in June – is now officially part of Hotelbeds Group. With both GTA and Tourico Holidays now part of our family, we can focus on realizing our ambition of becoming the very best travel trade partner by providing access to the best teams, products and data analysis in the industry," said Joan Vilà, executive chairman of Hotelbeds Group.
The company will update progress of the integration in the coming months.
All three companies will have access to an integrated service, combining their respective products and technology solutions.
Hotelbeds now operates from 150 offices globally.
It sold around 26 million room nights generating a total transaction value of €3.8 billion during the 2014/2015 financial year.
