Hainan Airlines ditches business class limo service

Thursday, 01 Oct, 2019 0

Hainan Airlines has cut back on costs by dumping free chauffeur limo service for business class passengers.

The service has already been eliminated but the carrier will honour all reservations already made for the service.

Hainan said the reasoning for ending limo service is to ‘provide more diversified services to meet the needs of passengers.’

The service was only valid on select routes and the airline is not the first to cut back on premium perks like this.

Gulf carriers Emirates and Etihad Airways have limited free chauffeur service to only revenue ticket holders in First and Business Class.

Hainan Airlines is also cutting back on its US network amid the economic slowdown and trade war, with its twice-weekly flight to Las Vegas from Beijing being axed.
