Halloween theme for British Travel Awards
Impressionist and stand-up comedian Alistair McGowan will host this year’s British Travel Awards Gala Awards Night, which fall on Halloween this year.
Organisers hope guests will get into the spirit (excuse the pun) by adding a touch of ghoulish glamour to their black-tie attire.
The awards will once again be held at Battersea Evolution, which will be decorated accordingly.
The celebrations will kick off with a champagne reception, hosted by Newmarket Holidays, and music from The London Banqueting Ensemble.
Robotic, animated dance illusion act by Peridot, a nine strong dance troupe, will being the stage show, and after the awards presentation, FST will sponsor the After Show Party with The Kitts Project performing live remixes of retro classics from the seventies through to the pop anthems dominating today’s charts.
BTA DJ Dave Double Dex will take over to keep the music pumping until 2am.
Guests will also be entertained throughout the night by close-up magician Matt Daniel-Baker and the Chill Zone Vodka Luge – this year with a crimson hue for a decidedly Halloween taste.
A midnight snack will be available from the hot-dog stall.
A marshalled black cab rank will operate throughout the evening and Shearings’ courtesy coaches will provide transfers to and from the venue to public transport links and selected hotels.
The very last few tables and individual places for this year’s British Travel Awards are available to reserve online at www.britishtravelawards.com on a first-come, first reserved basis.

BTA chief executive Lorraine Barnes Burton said: "The BTA’s Gala Awards’ black tie dinner is a fantastic night out and great value when you add all the components together! There’s a champagne reception, a four course dinner with wine, a show, a disco, brilliant travel industry networking and for some, the excitement of winning a coveted British Travel Award."
