Harrison Ford injured in small plane crash in LA
Indiana Jones star Harrison Ford has been injured in a small plane crash in Los Angeles.
The 72-year-old, also famous for playing Han Solo in Star Wars films, crash landed his vintage plane on a gold course in Venice after reporting engine trouble.
He was treated by two doctors who happened to be at the golf course before medics took him to hospital.
His son, an LA chef, later tweeted: “Dad is OK. Battered but OK!"
The actor’s publicist told US media he was expected to make a full recovery.
According to reports, Ford had reported engine trouble with his 1942 Ryan Aeronautical ST3KR shortly after take-off from Santa Monica Airport, and was making an ‘immediate return’.
He was the only person on board the plane.
