Haven Europe to rebrand
Haven Europe has rebranded to siblu as it seeks to better promote its core French product.
The company, which has been independently-owned since November last year, said the new brand name will resonate with both its UK and French customers.
A spokesman said the Haven Europe brand was also widely, and incorrectly, associated with UK holiday parks despite the Europe tag.
“Siblu (pronounced Sea Blue) will be understood by both our UK and French customers,” he said. “Our market is focused on French holiday parcs and we wanted the brand to reflect that.”
The siblu branding will appear on 2006 brochures, which have just been launched, although reference to Haven Europe will remain to ensure a degree of continuity.
The company will comprise siblu holidays, which will focus on selling parc holidays, and siblu exclusif which will concentrate on caravan sales.
The company currently own eight holiday parcs in France and operates holidays to 21 others ion France, Italy and Spain. It carries 110,000 passengers each year.
Meanwhile, siblu will embark on a multi-million pound improvement programme at its parcs over the next five years in a bid to attract more families and couples during the shoulder period.
Chief executive Leslie Hurst said: “Our challenge and the big issue facing the holiday parc market, is to attract new customers in our quiet periods.”
