Hawaiian cuts YQ fuel surcharge
SYDNEY – Hawaiian Airlines has reduced the YQ fuel surcharge on flights between Australia and Hawaii and Australia and the US mainland, effective immediately.
The airline’s new one way fuel surcharge between Sydney and Honolulu or between Sydney and any of the neighbour islands served by Hawaiian Airlines is AUD $55 – or a YQ surcharge of AUD $110 for a roundtrip.
For Hawaiian’s flights from Australia to the US mainland, the new YQ level is AUD $85 in each direction – a roundtrip level of AUD $170.00.
The reduced fuel tax levels apply for all fares sold in Australia including retail, wholesale, student and industry interline tariffs.
Hawaiian Airlines operates three weekly nonstop flights between Sydney and Honolulu, with more than 160 daily flights between the islands of Hawaii.
