Hayes and Jarvis appoint new MD as 18 staff leave
First Choice-owned Hayes and Jarvis has appointed Clare Tobin as managing director following a shake-up at the long haul operator.
The move comes shortly after the completion of a consultation period in which 18 staff, including former MD Maria Whiteman, left the company.
First Choice specialist division managing director Ian Simpkin said the restructure follows a decision to focus the business on flexible scheduled-based holidays.
Tobin, who joins this week having held the same position at Meon and Sovereign Villas, will be responsible for “driving the strategy of building flexible itineraries, increased scheduled flights, product value and innovation.”
“I am delighted to take up this challenge within First Choice Specialist Division,” she said in a statement. “The long haul market is one that promises huge potential for growth and innovation and my role will be to ensure that Hayes and Jarvis is setting the pace.”
