Passengers arriving into London Heathrow from today for the next two weeks will be greeted with a bowl of strawberries and cream.
As the world’s greatest tennis players perform today at Wimbledon, BAA has laid on the treat in a bid to encourage an interest in British sport.
Usherettes dressed in tennis whites will hand out the iconic Wimbledon culinary experience to three million people over the next two weeks.
Heathrow spokesman Malcolm Robertson said: "Passengers arriving at Heathrow will be left in no doubt that Wimbledon has arrived.
We hope our exciting welcome to the UK puts a smile on their faces and leaves them as excited as we are to cheer on our tennis champions."
