Helicopter transportation taking off
The first regular helicopter service from Manhattan to JFK in two decades has gotten to a high flying start and is popular with frequent business travelers and company managers.
The less than 10-minute flight costs $159.
Officials of US Helicopter plan to soon expand the traffic-avoiding flights to other airports such as LaGuardia and Newark.
The company is also talking to airlines to expand the shuttle even further, said Jerry Murphy of US Helicopter.
