Hertz introduces on line tour operators manual
Hertz has launched an on-line version of its popular Tour Operators Manual (TOM), providing tour operators and travel agents with detailed information about Hertz products and services in Australia and helpful hints for driving in this market.
Access to the new resource is easy: Visit www.htzpartners.com, then enter the word “tom” as both the User ID and the password, and finally click on the Tour Operator tab.
The on-line manual provides detailed information about the Hertz Australia fleet of cars, 4 x 4 vehicles and buses, rental locations and contact details, GDS booking codes and reservations.
A list of Hertz products and services is also provided, offering information about a diverse range of topics including availability of booster seats for children, non-smoking vehicles, assistance for drivers with disabilities, roadside assistance in case of vehicle breakdown and the provision of “value vouchers”, enabling leisure renters to obtain discounts or bonus offers at a range of attractions around Australia.
There is even a detailed mileage chart to assist in planning journey times, and advice on driving in the Australian outback, where conditions are harsh and support facilities can be limited.
“The Hertz Tour Operators Manual is indispensable for international travel professionals planning tour programmes in Australia, or preparing to send clients on a driving holiday downunder,” said Kevin Doyle, International Sales and Marketing Manager for Hertz Australia.
“This document enables tour operators and agents to understand fully what Hertz can offer in Australia, and to plan itineraries or provide authoritative advice to customers,” said Mr Doyle. “By making this resource available online, we are providing more flexibility for travel professionals, by providing around the clock access to detailed information about Hertz and its operations.”
Hertz has more than 7,600 locations in over 150 countries, including more than 220 in Australia.
For more information or to make a booking, call the Hertz toll-free reservations number, 13 30 39; visit a Hertz rental desk; or go to www.hertz.com.au
