Hertz offers Porsche lineup at $250 a day
It’s a bucket-list dream come true at Hertz.
With its current line of Porsche Panameras doing better than expected, the car-rental company this week will begin offering Porsche 911, Boxster, and Cayenne models in select vacation markets.
Hertz customers have demonstrated a "passion to get behind the wheels" of a Porsche, the company said.
Hertz will rent the cars, whose suggested retail prices begin at about $50,000 to $85,000, in California, Florida, and Nevada locations starting at $250 for a weekend day.
Hertz also this week announced that it will buy a 20% stake in China Auto Rental (CAR), China’s domestic market leader in car rentals, and hold a seat on CAR’s Board of Directors.
Hertz and CAR will be co-branded at full-service rental locations in China, and Hertz will turn over its locations and operations in China to CAR.
Hertz will continue to manage its own outbound sales team and equipment rental business in China.
