Hilton debuts new Sri Lanka resort
Hilton has marked the opening of Hilton Yala Resort, Hilton’s third flagship-branded property in Sri Lanka.
Just outside Yala National Park, the Sri Lanka resort offers views overlooking the Indian Ocean.
“We are delighted to welcome Hilton Yala Resort to our expanding portfolio across Sri Lanka and South East Asia,” said Alexandra Murray, area VP.
“We are confident it will be a haven for guests looking to fully connect with nature.”
The 42 rooms, suites, and villas feature contemporary interiors with safari chic accents and local artworks.
Ground floor rooms feature private pools while those on the level above offer private hot tubs.
The Sri Lanka resort has three restaurants serving contemporary Asian, western and fine dining experiences.
The resort has an outdoor pool, a fully equipped gym and spa.
Hilton Yala Resort’s guest experiences include an environmentally responsible safari experience with locally trained rangers.
These wildlife experts help guests experience the Yala National Park through personalised, twice daily game drives.
Each safari is dedicated to impactful educational sessions for a better appreciation of the wildlife and ecosystem.
An onsite animal research programme has also been founded with funding provided by the Hilton Global Foundation.
This research will be in collaboration with the Wildlife and Nature Protection Society (WNPS) Small Cat Advisory, Leopard Diary and the Wilderness and Wildlife Conservation Trust (WWCT).
