Hilton introduces UK ‘lifestyle’ hotels
Hilton has opened new “lifestyle” hotels in London and Manchester as part of a multi-million pound revival of the international brand in the UK and Ireland.
Hilton London Tower Bridge and Hilton Manchester Deansgate opened earlier this month.
The two hotels are designed reflect the company’s move towards contemporary and design-led lifestyle hotels and follow the opening of the Hilton London Canary Wharf in July.
Hilton’s UK and Ireland president Howard Friedman said: “Through these exciting new developments we aim to deliver what today’s guest demands – fantastic modern facilities for both business and leisure, with an element of luxury and surprise.”
The 245-room Hilton London Tower Bridge is ideally located close to the City and bars and restaurants in Southwark and the West End.
Hilton Manchester Deansgate occupies the first 23 floors of the landmark Beetham Tower.
In addition to the new openings, Hilton in the UK and Ireland has an extensive capital expenditure programme underway which will see more than £70 million invested this year. The chain has announced new management contracts in Reading, Wembley, Chester, Limerick and Dublin Kilmainham.
“Investment will drive regeneration across our extensive portfolio, which includes the exclusive glamour of Park Lane in London, a range of popular airport and rail station hotels and rural retreats such as Dunkeld in Scotland,” said Friedman.
