Hilton laying out red carpet for Chinese travelers
Hilton Worldwide has launched a China-centric program ‘Hilton Huanying’ aimed at giving Chinese guests a dedicated welcome at major properties popular with the Chinese market.
The service will be offered at landmark hotels in New York and San Francisco among others, offering a Chinese welcome incorporating a welcome note in simplified Chinese and Mandarin translation throughout the stay.
Familiar home comforts will be provided in guestrooms, including jasmine tea, Chinese slippers and Mandarin-language television channels.
Special Chinese breakfast selections will also be offered such as congee, fried noodles and rice, dim sum and Chinese tea.
“Huanying is an essential part of the Hilton hospitality promise – welcoming Chinese travelers with a level of service and personalization that we know they have come to expect and enjoy,” said Rob Palleschi, Hilton’s global head, full service brands.
“We are very proud of this program and its offerings, and the benefits are clear: Chinese travellers who stay at Huanying properties express greater overall satisfaction.”
The program will be rolled out to 32 international cities initially, including Hong Kong, Singapore, Paris, London and Tokyo.
Rival hotel group Hyatt has a similar long established ‘Nin Hao’ program targeting Chinese guests while IHG has gone a step further and developed dedicated luxury brand Hualuxe for Chinese travelers.
