Hilton names new Asia Pacific development SVP
Hilton has tapped seasoned hospitality executive Matt Fry to lead development in Asia Pacific.
Fry will take over as regional senior vice president of development on August 6, 2018 and will oversee the overall development strategy for APAC.
He has two decades of experience in real estate and development, mostly with Starwood Hotels & Resorts in a number of different roles.
This included senior vice president, global development at Starwood.
Most recently he was head of global real estate operations and Americas real estate at shared workspace platform WeWork.
"We are thrilled to have Matt join our team and oversee the strategic growth in APAC. His appointment represents our commitment to building on our tremendous success and achievements there. Matt’s extensive experience in the real estate and development industry will be invaluable," said Ian Carter, president – global development, architecture, design and construction for Hilton.
Fry will be based in Hilton’s APAC regional office in Singapore and reports to Carter.
