Hilton signs nine new hotels in Mexico

Hilton Worldwide has announced a signing spree in Mexico with nine new management deals.
 
The hotels, comprising Hilton Hotels and Resorts, Curio, Garden Inn, Homewood Suites and Hampton brands, will bolster its Mexico portfolio by an additional 1,200 rooms.
 
It currently has 45 hotels in Mexico.
 
The company will open the first dual-branded property in Mexico, featuring the 110-room Hilton Garden Inn and 90-suite Homewood Suites by Hilton Saltillo in 2019.
 
The other signings are the 226-room Hilton Guadalajara, Fives Downtown Hotel Playa del Carmen, Curio Collection by Hilton, 1970 Hotel Posadas Guadalajara, Curio Collection by Hilton, the 128-room Hilton Garden Inn Merida, Hilton Garden Inn Mexico City Santa Fe, Hampton Inn by Hilton Cancun, and Zacatecas Centro Historico, Curio Collection by Hilton.
 
"Mexico continues experiencing impressive tourism growth, and the addition of these hotels will help satisfy the increasing demand from both leisure and business travelers," said Juan Corvinos, Hilton MD of development for Mexico, Central America and the Hispanic Caribbean.
 
"With nearly 100 open properties in Latin America, Hilton continues to actively pursue growth opportunities in the region. We currently have a robust pipeline of more than 60 hotels across Latin America, including over 30 projects in Mexico."
