Hilton strengthens India leadership team
Hilton has strengthened its leadership team in India with two key appointments.
The company announced Navjit Ahluwalia as senior vice president and country head, India, and Jatin Khanna joins as VP and head of operations, India.
Effective immediately Ahluwalia oversees Hilton’s 33 hotels open and under development and leads the India growth strategy.
Ahluwalia has 30 years hospitality experience including 13 years at Marriott International.
His most recent position there was as senior vice president for its South Asia portfolio.
"I am thrilled to join Hilton at such an exciting time for our economy and for the Indian hospitality sector. India will offer the greatest growth opportunities as our demographics come of age, giving a new fillip to domestic consumption," said Ahluwalia.
Khanna has more than 20 years of hospitality operations experience at IHG and more recently at Marriott International where he was responsible for Marriott’s portfolio in Bengaluru as vice president and general manager for Bengaluru Marriott Hotel.
Both Ahluwalia and Khanna will be based out of Hilton’s regional office in Gurgaon.
