Hoseasons goes upmarket
Hoseasons has created a new luxury collection of boating holidays called ‘Starboard’.
It claims to combine the freedom of a boating holiday with upmarket perks like high quality linen, flat screen TVs and guides to local gastro pubs and wildlife and improved accommodation.
The new range will be aimed at families, couples and groups of friends looking for a new holiday experience.
20 Starboard boats will be available at four bases across the canal network of England and three bases on the Norfolk Broads, with boats sleeping between two and eight people.
Hoseason’s managing director Simon Altham said it was a natural step.
"Boating holidays are a fantastic way to explore the UK’s rivers, canals and inland waterways, but our research has told us that often this type of experience isn’t immediately associated with the highest quality accommodation," he said.
Customers will also receive a starter pack containing champagne, priority check-in, outdoor blankets for the cool evenings and the ability to book short breaks throughout the season.
The boats will also be able to carry bikes on board.
