Hot news from the Eastern Mediterranean
The Eastern Mediterranean Tourism Association is undertaking a significant upgrade of its web site www.emta.org.au, with the updgrade completed during November 2007 and providing enhanced information on each Eastern Med destination, more detail on member companies and improved links into member websites.
EMTA will also encourage all wholesalers, national tourism offices and airlines with a significant stake in Eastern Mediterranean tourism to join with the Association’s exisiting 25 members companies to maintain EMTA’s position as the prime address for tourism to the region.
EMTA’s 2008 Product Seminars have also been announced as follows: –
Tue 05 Feb: Melbourne – Rydges Hotel, Exhibition St
Tue 12 Feb: Adelaide – The Italian Centre, Carrington St
Wed 13 Feb: Perth – Novotel Langley Hotel, Adelaide Terrace
Tue 19 Feb: Sydney – NSW Leagues Club, Phillip St
Wed 20 Feb: Canberra, Hellenic Club, Woden
Tue 04 Mar: Gold Coast – Watermark Hotel, Surfers paradise
Wed 05 Mar: Brisbane – Royal on the Park Hotel, Cnr Alice and Albert Sts
Timings: 1800 for 1830 Start – 2100
Main Features of the 2008 evenings include:
** Entertaining and informative product and destination presentations featuring highlights of Eastern Med destinations in all Eastern Med destinations.
** A full Eastern Med dinner and drinks (no starvation rations or bits on sticks
** Comfortable and civilized round table seating.
** Complimentary entry to agents.
** A record range of travel prizes at each venue.
EMTA sasy that Flight Centres and other agency groups are requested to note these dates and avoid running buzz nights and other internal motivational and love–in events to clash with them if they want to remain competitive with other agency groups in their knowledge of a region in which 750,000 Australians travel each year.
He adds that on the other hand if they do continue run events which clash with EMTA evenings their competitors will be most grateful.
