Hotel and restaurants open in La Plagne
French ski resort La Plagne opens this weekend with a newly-renovated hotel and brand new restaurants.
The Araucaria Hotel & Spa in Plagne Centre opens on Saturday, developed by the group behind the quirky RockyPop Hotel in Chamonix.
Renovated from an existing hotel, it will have a new state-of-the-art extension with a new cocktail bar, cosy mountain nook and auditorium.
A new Nuxe Spa will have treatment rooms, sauna, tepidarium and swimming pool, as well as a fun children’s pool area.
Meanwhile, Union is a new restaurant from British Michelin-starred chef, Phil Howard.
In a contemporary Alpine setting, with an open kitchen, there won’t be a tartiflette or fondue in sight.
Another new restaurant, Le 360, opens tomorrow and will have wall-to-wall glass windows with 360 degree views of the Plateau du Fornelet in Plagne-Montalbert.
Situated at 1970m, the restaurant is also accessible via the Montalbert gondola.
