Hotel Bookers International in name change
Hotel Brokers International is to change the company name to HBI from January 28.
The company is also adding the strapline ‘Meetings Management’ to its name to reflect the change in the company’s activity and client-base.
“We are international – 30% of our £60 million venue spend was placed overseas last year – but it has been apparent for sometime that HBI deals in a far wider market than just hotels and we need our name to reflect this,” said HBI managing director Des Mclaughlin.
“We feel that change to HBI, along with the strapline ‘Meetings Management’, gives a clearer description of the services we offer today”
The name change will come into effect with the release of the 2008 HBI Meetings Industry Report in February, an 140-page book on trends, data and research on the European Meetings Industry.
