Hotel de Russie creates uber luxurious suite for stars
The city of Rome is an eternal favourite among celebrities and the much publicised wedding of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes once again highlighted the city as an A-List destination, with the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Will Smith, Jim Carey and Richard Gere flying in for the occasion. To accommodate its celebrity fans, who include George Clooney and Brad Pitt who stayed during the filming of Ocean’s 12, Rocco Forte’s Hotel de Russie has created a new Presidential Suite, the uber luxurious Nijinsky Suite.
Situated on the sixth and top floor, one of the highlights of the Nijinsky Suite is a large 150 square metre terrace overlooking the hotel’s tranquil gardens and the rooftops of Rome that is perfect for lounging in the sun and outdoor dining in the warmer months. Inside, the suite comprises a large bedroom, a dressing room with his and hers walk in wardrobes, a stylish mosaic and marble bathroom with a bathtub and separate walk-in shower, a mosaic steam room, guest bathroom, living area with 50” plasma TV, kitchen, bar area and dining room for 10 people. The Olga Polizzi-designed suite can be connected with a deluxe double room making it a two bedroom suite. Rates for the Nijinsky suite start from Euros 6,000 (approx £4,300) per night.
To ensure that the stars receive the service to which they have become accustomed, exclusive VIP itineraries and tours can be organised by the Hotel de Russie’s concierge, including private tours of the Palaces and Private Residences of Rome and of the Cults and Mysteries of Underground Rome, plus private viewings of the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Gardens.
Rocco Forte’s Hotel de Russie is a luxury five-star hotel located in the heart of the beautiful city of Rome between the Spanish Steps and Piazza del Popolo on the Via del Babuino. The hotel is within easy walking distance of Rome’s key attractions, fashion houses and Via Condotti. The Vatican City, with St Peter’s and the Sistine Chapel, is just a ten-minute walk from the Hotel de Russie while Piazza Navona and the Trevi Fountain are also within easy access.
