Hotel quarantine booking site taken down minutes after going live
A new system for booking a room under the UK’s hotel quarantine scheme was taken offline soon after it went live.
The portal, set up as part of efforts to prevent new Covid variants entering the UK, was removed temporarily for maintenance "to correct a minor technical error", according to the BBC.
Despite expectations that the site would be back up and running by 4pm, the message was still being displayed this morning.
