Hotel rooms increased to 9,000 in Bloomington, Minnesota
Bloomington, Minnesota, is home to a new $25 million AC Hotel by Marriott, due to open in mid-February 2017, next to the Mall of America.
The new hotel is the first AC Marriott to open in Bloomington and will increase the hotel rooms in the city to over 9,000.
The 148-room, five-story AC Marriott Mall of America will have a contemporary, eclectic interior, and include a car park, two restaurants, coffee shop and fitness centre. The contemporary bar will offer guests handcrafted cocktails and tapas-style small plates.
AC Hotel Bloomington Mall of America will feature a variety of local brands, products and art, including a historic sculpture from Austrian artist Herbert Bayer who has exhibited his work at the Guggenheim Museum and San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. In addition, the hotel will display original paintings by local artist Patrick Pryor.
A shuttle service will be available for guests to the Mall of America and to Minneapolis/St Paul airport, which is located two miles from the hotel.
The AC Marriott is the latest hotel to open in Bloomington after a boom in hotels, which has seen six new openings in the past year.
