Two new Marriott hotels are planned for Central Florida Parkway near Aquatica – SeaWorld’s Waterpark. The properties will both have 200 rooms and include a six-story, 110,000-square-foot Fairfield Inn & Suites and six-story, 124,000-square-foot SpringHill Suites.

Once complete, the hotels will share amenities including a swimming pool, fitness center and bar and grill. Both are slated to open in May 2009. For further information visit www.grovestreetpartners.com

Loews Royal Pacific Resort at Universal Orlando debuted Jurassic Park-themed kid’s suites and completed a $10 million room renovation project. The new Jurassic Park suites include raptor’s cage headboards, custom wall murals, artwork from the making of the movies and Jurassic Park-themed furniture. The hotel has also completed renovations on all guest rooms and suites in a design motif that reflects the charm of the South Pacific. Technology upgrades include the addition of iHome clock radios with iPod docking stations and the installation of 32-inch (81-centimeter) flat-panel televisions. For further information visit

Orlando World Center Marriott is offering a special “Escape! Family Time” package through Sept. 30, 2008. The Radisson Hotel Lake Buena Vista opened on Apopka Vineland Road. Regal Sun Resort, located inside the Walt Disney World Resort, has completed a $25 million property-wide renovation. Upgrades include a new pool/aquatic playground, featuring a clover leaf-shaped pool, scenic rock formation and interactive water features for children. All 626 guest rooms and suites were remodeled, along with the hotel’s lobby, restaurants, lounge and meeting space.

Waldorf=Astoria Resort and Spa Orlando will offer a special incentive for each new group business booked March 1- June 1, 2008 for group arrivals Oct. 1, 2009 – Oct. 1, 2010.
