Wyndham expands in Germany

Saturday, 22 Feb, 2013 0

Wyndham Hotel Group has signed a strategic partnership with German hotel chain Grand City Hotels.

Under the agreement, a third of Grand City’s 120 hotels will become affiliated with Wyndham brands.

By 1 March 2013, the first 33 of the 43 selected locations will be rebranded. The remaining hotels will follow over the next two years.

All of the hotels being re-branded are located in Germany with the exception of two, which will become TRYP by Wyndham properties in Antwerp and in Amsterdam.

"This is, without a doubt, one of the most significant moves we have made to bring our family of lodging brands to Germany, currently one of the strongest markets in Europe," said Eric Danziger, Wyndham Hotel Group president and CEO.

"We will build on this momentum and expect to experience continued development in the country and throughout the rest of the EMEA region."
