Sydney, 10 March 2002, Online accommodation provider, HotelClub (www.HotelClub.net) is quickly becoming a travel agent’s best friend. The site’s successful travel agent program is providing travel agents with a streamlined approach to booking accommodation online, to over 36 countries worldwide.

HotelClub offers travel agents extensive global coverage with over 4,500 hotels, in 700 cities – properties range from two to five stars. The extensive range of accommodation product offered ensures that the site will be able to meet the needs of the travel agent’s customers.

The HotelClub travel agent program offers agents a range of benefits including, savings of up to 20 per cent from already heavily discounted HotelClub rates. The program also enables travel agents the flexibility to determine their own commission, as HotelClub provides travel agents with the nett hotel rate.

There is currently an extensive network of over 4,000 travel agents worldwide including 2,000 in Australasia registered with HotelClub. In December 2002 Harvey World Travel, one of Australia’s largest and oldest established retail travel agencies, joined the HotelClub travel agent program.

“Flairview Travel retail travel agent program has allowed Harvey World Travel to deploy highly competitive hotel content to its websites. This now gives our Franchisees the opportunity to access a wide range of quality accommodation products efficiently, including last minute hotels, which was previously closed to retail travel agents”. Rob Dell, Commercial Manager, Harvey World Franchisees Pty Ltd said.

The real time aspect of the program allows agents to monitor their commission revenue, confirm bookings and hotel availability instantly as well as track individual client bookings. Many HotelClub properties provide instant confirmation to travel agents, thus minimising time delays experienced throughout the booking process.

HotelClub features its services in five languages – English, French, German, Spanish and Chinese, ensuring more travel agents throughout the world are able to join the HotelClub program. Customer service, support and all written correspondence including newsletters are also available in five languages.

Flairview Travel is now in negotiation with several agency groups and is actively seeking partners from retail agencies large and small. If you would like more information on the travel agent program, please contact Norman Guestrau on [email protected]
