Hotels.com wants to hire ‘Poolhop’ to lounge by the pool
Dream job alert: Online travel company Hotels.com is on the lookout for a person who loves nothing better than chilling by the pool all day long.
The hotel booking platform plans to hire a ‘poolhop’ to travel the country this summer ‘researching the most epic hotel pools.’
The chosen candidate will get $10,000 as well as all travel and accommodation expenses.
The poolhop will take ‘Gram-worthy photos’ to document their experience which will be featured on Hotels.com and social media channels.
"No one wants to be sitting at a desk all summer. There are so many incredible hotel pools to explore across the country and we want to give travelers a firsthand look at the creme de la crème," said Katie Junod, general manager of Hotels.com North America.
The job entails stays at six hotels – the Four Seasons Hualalai in Hawaii, Mondrian Los Angeles, SLS Las Vegas, Garden of the Gods Club and Resort in Colorado Springs, The William Vale in New York and the National Hotel in Miami.
Candidates are invited to pen 100 words as to why they would be the perfect poolhop, and also write a 100-word review of their favorite hotel pool.
