Howling with Wolves on Rockies Christmas Tour
Wolf howling and snowshoe walking are among the skills imparted to guests on an 11 day Canadian Rockies Christmas tour with Albatross Travel.
The tour, which spends Christmas Day in Jasper in the heart of the Rockies, begins on December 18 in Vancouver and visits Victoria before travelling over mountain peak passes to Kamloops.
Guests spend two days at an authentic ‘Kentucky Style’ guest ranch before travelling on to the mountain township of Jasper stopping en-route at the 3954m high Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies.
After checking into the Sawridge Hotel featuring a European Spa and Wellness centre guests take a late afternoon excursion for a moonlight wolf howling trek in snowshoes on Christmas Eve.
Christmas Day in Jasper is followed by a drive to Banff along the Icefields Parkway, one of the world’s great scenic highways. Travellers spend two days in Banff with the tour concluding in the ‘Stampede’ City of Calgary.
Cost per person twin share is $3699 which includes all accommodation, luxury coach travel, daily breakfast, nine dinners, three lunches, entrance fees and a number of outings. Airfares are extra and can be arranged at competitive rates.
