Hundreds of delays and cancellations due to thick fog
Flights at London airports are facing a second day of cancellations and disruption due to thick fog.
British Airways warned passengers via Twitter to check their flight status if travelling from Heathrow, Gatwick and London City today as the Met office issues another fog warning.
Heathrow is reporting 40 cancelled flights already today with 77 delayed, while London City has seen 51 flights cancelled, amounting to more than 20% of flights, and 13 delayed, according to flight statistic website, Flight Aware.
EasyJet said: "Please be aware that we continue to suffer from major network disruption today due to poor weather conditions throughout Europe causing low visibility.
"This has resulted in a large number of aircraft and crew out of place for flights today. In addition we are seeing a lot of Air Traffic Control restrictions which has resulted in some delays, diversions and cancellations.
"We are continuing to review the situation and would like to reassure passengers that we are doing everything possible to minimise the disruption."
Foggy conditions in Europe are also having a knock-on effect on UK flights.
Poor visibility yesterday led to hundreds of cancellations and more delays at UK airports.
Heathrow, Gatwick, London City, Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Glasgow, Edinburgh and Cardiff were all affected.
