Hyatt appoints new operations head for India
Hyatt Hotels Corporation has appointed Kurt Straub as vice president, operations, India.
Reporting to Peter Fulton, group president, Europe, Africa, Middle East and Southwest Asia, Straub will oversee the company’s growth strategy in the sub-continent.
Straub brings more than 20 years of experience across several Hyatt brands in different countries, and most recently was area vice president for full and select service hotels in Mexico.
Earlier roles include general manager of Hyatt Regency Mexico City and general manager of Park Hyatt Zurich.
"Kurt possesses versatility in international experience and vivacity in operations. He has been associated with the company for over 20 years. Hyatt will certainly grow immensely in India under him," Fulton said.
Chicago based Hyatt operates 20 properties in India across a portfolio of brands in destinations including Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Goa, Hampi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Gurgaon, Mumbai and Pune.
