IATA reshuffle the pack

Saturday, 20 Dec, 2002 0

IATA has re-shuffled its management to create what it describes as “strong leadership” in “a time of great challenge”.

IATA’s senior vice president, member and government relations, Kevin Dobby has been appointed to senior vice president and corporate secretary. IATA desribes his new role as: “Managing the affairs of the Board of Governors, the International Airline Training Fund and appointments to IATA subsidiaries and joint ventures”.

Mr Dobby will be replaced by Thomas Windmuller, presently senior director in the Mr Bisignani’s office. Mr Windmuller will be responsible for industry strategy and managing IATA’s relations with its member airlines and with governments.

IATA’s senior vice president marketing and commercial services, Louise Roy, will leave IATA at the end of the year. She will be succeeded by Robert Hutt, IATA’s senior vice president and chief financial officer, until a replacement is found for Ms Roy.

The new appointments will take effect from 1 January. Giovanni Bisignani will remain director general and chief executive.
