Iberia launches real-time dynamic boarding pass
Spain flag carrier Iberia has rolled out a new dynamic boarding pass feature, which automatically updates itself in response to any last-minute operational flight changes.
Currently, passengers who obtain their boarding pass at the counter or through the app receive a static version that does not reflect any changes.
With the enhancement, the boarding pass updates automatically to reflect any seat changes, gate changes, or cabin upgrades.
Customers also receive a push notification on their mobile device with the updated information.
In addition to mobile notifications, Iberia will continue to send updates via email.
This feature is available to users of the Iberia app (iOS and Android) and to those who download their boarding pass to Apple Wallet or Google Wallet from the website.
Additionally, Iberia has been one of the first airlines to partner with Apple to integrate AirTag information into its operations, allowing customers to share the location of their luggage.
