Iberia pilots set to strike
Iberia pilots are planning two days of strikes later this month over plans for a new low-cost airline.
Parent company IAG, which also owns British Airways, is planning to launch a low-cost airline in April.
Iberia will allocate 40 planes to the new operation.
But Iberia’s pilots and their unions fear there could be job losses with the new Iberia Express hiring new staff at lower salaries.
The strikes are due to take place on December 18 and 29.
A vote on the action will be held next week.
