IBEROSTAR Goes Local to Entertain Guests
One of the central pillars of IBEROSTAR Hotels & Resorts is entertainment, so, the hotel chain ensures that each guest enjoys the best vacation experience through a wide range of programs developed by experts, adapted to different tastes and ages of vacationers.
Behind the IBEROSTAR entertainment, there is a strategy based on an analysis according to the geographical context, cultural criteria, such as the nationalities of travellers, their ages and customs, as well as trends, feedback and communication with visitors.
For IBEROSTAR, entertainment is a channel of interaction with guests, the objective being that they experience the destination and enjoy the most from their holiday.
Specifically in Mexico, in the 10 properties, 280 people are part of the entertainment team – the Star Friends – made up of animators, producers, musicians, dancers, choreographers, makeup artists, set designers and costume designers. In total, per year, they hold about 18 shows in each hotel, which means extensive logistics and the deployment of hundreds of highly qualified employees. Importantly, the shows are designed to be rotated, with the aim that visitors can enjoy a different one every night.
The shows are one of the key attractions of IBEROSTAR and, undoubtedly, the best way to end the day is with a good night of fun. In addition to local shows, such as "Mexicanísimo" which celebrates Mexican culture, IBEROSTAR is this year preparing a new show titled "We Love Pop". This exciting experience is totally live with orchestra, dancers and singers and transports guests to the best memories of the 80s, through musical icons of this era.
IBEROSTAR hotels in Mexico have more ambitious projects for 2016, among which are: renovation and extension of the Kids Club; expansion of the fitness program "Star Fit & Fun" and remodelling of gymnasiums to practice exercises such as cardio, weights or relaxation, as well as new activities such as yoga, pilates, bootcamp, among others. Also, the chain has expanded its entertainment program for both adults and the whole family, including water and land activities.
