Iceland Express returns to Stansted
Iceland Express is re-starting flights from Stansted to Reykjavik after a two-year break
The airline will fly to the Icelandic capital on Tuesdays and Fridays from 22 June with fares starting from £89 one way.
Iceland Express already flies six times per week from London Gatwick to Reykjavik and on Mondays and Thursdays from Edinburgh to Reykjavík during the summer.
It started a Stansted service in November 2009 but demand was not high enough to sustain the route so it was cancelled in 2010.
"After a break of two years we’re pleased to announce that Iceland Express is returning to London Stansted," said Heimir Mr Pétursson, public relations manager.
"With twice-weekly flights in our schedule from late June, we hope that the extra London choice will appeal to travellers north of the M25 who want to experience a beautiful Icelandic summer."
