IHG launches Indonesian, Thai language websites
InterContinental Hotels Group is supporting its rapid expansion plans across Southeast Asia with the launch of foreign language websites in two major markets.
It rolled out websites in Bahasa Indonesia and Thai, which follows the successful launch of its app in both languages earlier this year.
It takes the number of foreign language websites to 17.
"Indonesia and Thailand have both experienced significant growth in ecommerce on a national level – a testament to the evolving consumer habits and platform preferences in these markets. The addition of Bahasa Indonesia and Thai to our online customer touchpoints complements IHG’s strategy to strengthen our digital presence in this region," said Shailesh Pallipuram, vice president of sales & marketing, South East Asia & Korea at IHG.
IHG has 68 hotels open across eight countries in ASEAN including 20 hotels in Indonesia and 22 in Thailand across five of its brands.
Over the next three years a further 31 hotels are due to open in the two countries.
