Hotel chain IHG is introducing its flagship brand to Northern Vietnam’s Halong Bay.

The company has signed an agreement with Ha Long Investment and Development Limited Company to introduce InterContinental Halong Bay Resort and InterContinental Residences Halong Bay.

They are slated to open in 2023.

The project features 175 guestrooms in the hotel and 60 branded residences in a beachfront setting in Halong City.

Common amenities include five restaurant and bars, four pools, a fitness centre, a kids club and spa.

It will also house six meeting rooms.

"We are delighted to be taking the brand to the fabled Halong Bay, strengthening our presence across the country," said Serena Lim, Vice President, Development for IHG, South East Asia & Korea.

IHG currently has 14 hotels open in Vietnam across four brands, with another 15 hotels slated to open in the next three to five years.
